Bay Laurel Drive
Menlo Park
As a landscape architect, our Bay Laurel Drive project in Menlo Park was envisioned as a calm, contemporary retreat woven into a neighborhood setting. The entry is framed with layered plantings and ornamental grasses that soften clean stone walls. Carefully placed trees and screening shrubs ensure privacy without losing openness. The result is a refined introduction that balances structure and softness, blending natural textures with crisp architectural lines.
In the backyard, the design unfolds around a pool and terrace, with smooth stone pavers leading to an open seating area shaded by mature canopy trees. Lush plantings, cut stone pathways, and subtle accent lighting create rhythm and movement throughout the garden. Natural materials—stone, wood, and gravel—are combined with drought-tolerant plantings to create both durability and beauty. Every detail reflects the work of a landscape architect, shaping an outdoor living environment that is functional, sustainable, and timeless.
