Keith Willig

Principal

Keith WIllig leads the studio with over 25 years of experience in residential landscape design and construction. He has thorough knowledge of design, horticulture, and high end construction. He is fueled by a lifelong passion for beautiful plants and design.

Keith’s design philosophy combines functionality, respect for the environment, and strong visual appeal. His focus is first on how elements of a landscape can be built to relate to each other and connect living spaces. He guides the team to maintain a clear vision of the bigger picture at every step of the project. Keith knows that a strong working relationship with his clients and high standards are key to achieving desired results.
He enjoys his personal time playing tennis and stretching his creativity crafting ceramics.

His qualifications include:

  • BS in Landscape Architecture from Cal Poly Pomona.
  • Licensed Landscape Architect and Landscape Contractor.
  • Active member of the Association of Landscape Architects (ASLA) and the
  • California Landscape Contractors Association (CLCA).

NATALIE SHEFFIELD

Senior Project Manager

Natalie Sheffield is an accomplished landscape architect from Australia, with nearly ten years of experience in the Bay Area. Her diverse expertise spans town center upgrades, urban design frameworks, high-end residential landscapes, park development, zoological exhibit design, play space design, lake and waterway enhancements, and large-scale master planning. Known for her focus on sustainable design, Natalie integrates practices such as Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) to create tailored, functional, and environmentally conscious spaces.

In addition to her residential work, Natalie has extensive experience in commercial, environmental, and recreational landscape projects. A passionate gardener, she has a particular interest in vegetable gardening and the Japanese art of Kokedama—moss-wrapped plant arrangements. A former triathlete, Natalie now enjoys the social aspects of training in swimming, cycling, and running, staying active and engaged in her community.

Natalie’s thoughtful, sustainable approach to design, along with her commitment to best practice environmental design and climate change mitigation, makes her an invaluable asset to any project.

Natalie is an active member of AILA and ASLA.

Pamela Santa Rosa

Senior Project Manager

Hola Menlo Park!

Pamela seeks to articulate clients’ needs in a functional space using the desired aesthetic to invite and captivate our clients. Her inspiration comes from studying and drawing in various fields such as architecture and art which she incorporates into her professional work. Known for her detail-oriented and creative approach, she ensures every project is unique and meticulously designed.

Pamela worked as a Landscape Designer in Mexico City for two and a half years before moving to California and joining KWLA. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from the National Autonomous University of Mexico.

ADAM TERRERI

Project Manager

With over five years of experience in landscape architecture, Adam is dedicated to the art and science of place-making, crafting environments that cater to every human and the smallest insect alike.  Adam’s passion lies in creating experiences that harmonize with nature, reflecting a deep responsibility to the spaces we inhabit.

Throughout his career, he has honed his skills across all project phases, from initial conceptualization to detailed construction documentation. Adam’s diverse experience allows him to bring ideas to life through various mediums, whether it is detailed 3D models or expressive hand-drawn sketches. This versatility ensures that each project he undertakes is communicated with clarity and creativity, capturing the vision of both clients and collaborators.

Adam is committed to enhancing the built environment with thoughtful, sustainable designs that resonate on both an aesthetic and ecological level.

Anna Park

Project Manager

Anna brings diverse experience in both large-scale and residential landscape architecture, with a strong foundation in sustainable design. She earned her Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania, following a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and Sculpture in Fine Art in Korea.

Anna’s professional experience includes work at SWA Group, where she contributed to community parks, urban parks, streetscapes, and institutional projects, guiding designs from site analysis through construction documentation. At Montague Design, a residential design-build firm, she expanded her expertise by managing client relationships and overseeing construction. She continues to pursue her passion for residential landscapes as a freelance designer, collaborating closely with homeowners to deliver thoughtful, comprehensive designs. She is passionate about fostering meaningful connections between people and landscapes, always seeking to create spaces that are both functional and inspiring.

Outside of landscape architecture, Anna enjoys hand-drawing and creating cartoons, as well as rock climbing with her kid, which fuels her love of challenge and the outdoors.

 

JONI SIMONSEN

Office Manager

With a strong background in accounting and financial management, Joni brings passion and drive to the KWLA team. She has over a decade managing contracts, AP/AR, and payroll for custom residential projects. She is an essential part of the KWLA team, ensuring that our office runs smoothly and efficiently.

In her free time, Joni loves to spend time with her dogs Daisy Mae, Rosie, and Lucy Loo. She also enjoys gardening and camping, most recently in Burney Falls.
