Our Menlo Park backyard landscape project at Helen Place was designed to create a resort-style retreat. At the heart of the backyard, a lap pool seamlessly integrates with surrounding decking for a sleek yet functional aesthetic. The design focuses on flow and openness, encouraging movement between lounging, entertaining, and gardening spaces.

The softscape complements the modern pool and deck with a palette of native backdrops, screening trees, and drought-tolerant plantings. Large boulders, gravel pathing, and raised vegetable beds contribute natural detail and functionality to enrich the outdoor experience. At the center of the social space, the eye is drawn to a vibrant seating area encircling a built-in firepit. These layered design elements define the Menlo Park backyard landscape as a cohesive environment that offers relaxation, sustainability, and year-round enjoyment
