Keith Willig Hands out Five-Gallon Buckets to Clients to Promote Water Conservation

Keith Willig Landscape Architecture and Construction (KWLA), based in Menlo Park, recently began a small initiative to increase public awareness of the drought and to promote water conservation. The company ordered 100 five-gallon buckets to hand out to clients around the Bay Area to inspire water collection in every form. Tied to each bucket is a tag which reads as follows: “Use this bucket for all the water-saving ideas you can dream up. One idea is to put the bucket under your shower as it heats up, then use the collected water on your landscape, then repeat! With a little effort we can make a difference. Every drop counts!” KWLA’s hope is that the buckets will serve as a small reminder of environmental consciousness and thoughtful water use.
